Meet Greg Barton
Greg is the owner of Barton Law, P.C., L.L.O., and has been engaged in the practice of law for over 36 years with an emphasis in commercial, contract, insurance, employment, family law, administrative law and civil rights litigation, and a general trial practice.
Greg earned his J.D. with distinction from the University of Nebraska in 1988 after obtaining a B.A. from Hastings College in 1984 and over the course of the past 36 years, Greg has been involved in numerous trial matters involving commercial, contract, insurance, employment, family law, administrative law, and civil rights issues.
Greg is admitted to practice in all Nebraska State and Federal Courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court

- Greg is actively involved in several professional associations including the Lincoln Bar Association, the Nebraska State Bar Association, the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
- Greg authored “Private Employer Drug Testing: Invading At-Will Employees’ Privacy – Is it a Tort?” published in the 67th volume of the Nebraska Law Review in 1988.
- He has an extensive background in legal scholarship and professional involvement. In addition to his writing, he has shared his expertise as a seminar speaker on “Employer-Employee Non-Competition Agreements” in 2003.
- Greg’s professional credentials include being a member of the National Trial Advocacy Team and serving as the former executive editor of the Nebraska Law Review and he contributed to the community as a member of the Board of Directors of Continuum EAP, a non-profit corporation.
